Kevy dominates year-end awards: LCO 2021 Split 2 All-Pro, MVP revealed

The Order jungle rubber-stamped a glittering first year.

Order’s young jungler shone in his first full season in the LCO, and has been named rookie of the year, as well as the LCO Split 2 most valuable player.

Allen joined up with the Melbourne team after making way for Leo “Babip” Romer in Peace’s star-studded roster. He played three games for the Dragons in Split 1, then played every regular-season Split 2 game with Order on their way to a second-place finish.

In 2021, he boasted a 66% regular-season win rate.

“I wasn’t really sure what to expect coming into this split,” Kevy admitted to Snowball Esports ahead of his official unveiling as the LCO’s most valuable player.

Oceania’s newest MVP continued: “I’d had some experience as a substitute [on Peace] last split, but I didn’t know how I would match up against the veteran players. Getting these awards means I’m definitely going in the right direction, and it feels nice to have my efforts rewarded.

“That said, my goal is still to win, and go to Worlds.”

Order’s chances at a title and Worlds run to go with Kevy’s individual plaudits were cruelled last week, however, after their lower bracket series went the distance against Peace, and ended in the favour of Allen’s former team.

Despite their short-fall finish, there are those within Order that are already dubbing Kevy a “superstar” of the Oceanic scene, and beyond.

The org’s chief gaming officer, Chris “GoMeZ” Orfanellis, told Snowball Esports: “In my fifteen-year esports career, I have had the pleasure of working with some amazing talent and guys you just know will make it, and Kevy is one of those guys. I couldn’t be more proud of what he has accomplished under the Order banner.

“We took a risk bringing in Kevy mid-season and boy did it pay off in spades. He was the perfect fit for our roster and elevated his teammates and our League Program.

“He’s a superstar in the game and a great guy out of game and I couldn’t be happier for him to receive these awards.”

The rampant rookie was joined in the LCO’s “Players that Delivered” lineup by Pentanet’s BioPanther, Dire Wolves’ Shok, and Peace bot lane duo Violet and Aladoric.

Snowball Esports would like to congratulate all the award winners.
